Jan has a stand in the West Country Potters Marquee at the Contemporary Craft Fair, exhibiting tiles and new ceramics

Mosaic making with your own glaze-painted pieces, plus a wide variety of materials, from precious gold and silver glass to plastic, metal, ceramic, found and reclaimed objects.

• July - Sat/Sun 2/3rd: GARDEN MOSAICS for all weathers
  
• August - Sat/Sun 20/21st: MOSAIC MIRROR FRAMES
  
• September - Sat/Sun 24/25th: MOSAIC MEMORIES working with a personal collection of objects

The weekends cover glaze-painting, making "sampler mosaic" pieces and one main mosaic; being a small class, they are relaxed and informal.
Saturday mornings are spent in glazing ceramic pieces for mosaic using a wide range of ceramic colours, including reactive earthenware glazes and glass fusions.
These are fired overnight & ready to use in mosaic on Sunday.
Sat afternoon & Sunday are for mosaic making.

£130 per weekend, materials included
Maximum class size of 5 students
Classes, 10-5 each day, take place in my studio (2 miles from Totnes, Devon UK) Unit 6, Bridge Farm, Harberton, Devon TQ9 7PP

No experience is necessary; basic cutting and fixing methods are covered, + health and safety, & I provide note-sheets on techniques, materials, and suppliers, so that you can continue mosaic making with confidence.
Facilities at Bridge Farm are basic, and mosaics are messy...wear old clothes!

All materials plus tea/coffee are included, however, bring a packed lunch for yourself, or visit the Church House Inn in Harberton, 10 mins walk from the studio.
