TACO Torre Abbey Contemporary Open, Torquay, Devon

Jan is exhibiting the Four Seasons mosaic sculptures, and a scanner-photography giclée print, Poppy.

Now in its second year, TACO, the Abbey's contemporary annual show, features the work some of the very best artists in the south west, 2D and 3D works are exhibited in the contemporary galleries and also
throughout the Abbey and its grounds.

TACO runs concurrently with Antony Gormley's FIELD, installed in the
mediaeval Spanish Barn from 27th June to 23rd August www.torre-abbey.org.uk

Unconventional mosaic art-making with a wide variety of materials- from plastic, metal, ceramic, found and reclaimed objects, to gold and hand-glazed ceramic pieces.

£120 per w/e, materials included

No experience is necessary; the direct method of mosaic application will be taught, including basic skills in cutting ceramic and glass tesserae, appropriate adhesives, grouting, and health and safety.

£120 per weekend; maximum class size of 7 students
classes, 10-4 each day, take place in my studio (2 miles from Totnes) Unit 6, Bridge Farm, Harberton, Devon TQ9 7PP

Materials, plus tea and coffee, are included.
However, bring a packed lunch for yourself, or visit the Church House Inn in Harberton
- and wear old clothes , mosaics can be messy!
